Varahi Devi

Vaarahi, who is a goddess, is one of the Saptamatrikas (the seven female goddesses). She has the head of a pig and shows the power of Vishnu’s third incarnation, Varaha.

Varahi is the leader of Devi Lalitha Tripura Sundari’s army. She is the most important goddess in Hinduism. She has a staff in one hand, which is how she got the name “Dandini.”

Varahi is the fifth member of the Saptamatrikas. She is also called “Panchami,” which means “the fifth one.”

hipped by people from the three most important Hindu sects: Saivism, Vaishnavism, and Sakta.

Stories about Varahi

There are a number of stories about Varahi. The Goddess is in charge of Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari’s army and, along with Mathangi, is one of her most important friends. She protects the Goddess, and the only way to get Devi Lalitha’s good blessings is to worship Varahi.

Varahi was an important part of many of Devi Lalitha’s fights with the Asuras. During Devi Lalitha’s war with Shumbha-Nishumbha, Bandasura, and Rakthabeej, the three powerful demons that Devi Lalitha killed, several Puranas talked about how brave she was. During the war, Varahi killed several generals and family members of the three asuras.

Varahi is also thought to represent the power (Sakthi) of Maha Vishnu’s avatar Varaha. Some people also think that Varahi shows the power of Shiva’s fierce form Bhairava.

How Goddess Varahi Showed Up

Varahi has a dark skin tone and eight hands that hold a variety of weapons. She has a lot of weapons with her because she is the leader of Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari’s army. Varahi has a conch (Sankha), a discus (Chakra), a staff (Dhanda), a noose, a mace (Gada), a sword, a shield, and a goad (Goad).
